ABC Pre-School Group
Our ABC group is for all children from birth to 5 years and their parents and carers. Children enjoy fun play, table toys, sit and ride and craft tables. Children must be accompanied by their parent or carer.
Due to the coronavirus situation the group will be paused in January and February 2022. We hope to re-open on Wednesdays during term time from 9.15am - 11am later in the year. The group provides refreshments mid-morning.
Please contact us if you would like to be notified when the group will restart.
Suggested donation is £1 per adult and children are free.
Come along to our children's club for those from Reception to Year 5 school years. The group meets Wednesdays during term time from 6.15-7.30pm. There's time to play at the start of the session, then team games, stories, crafts and refreshments and more team games at the end if time allows. Parents and carers are welcome to stay if children need them (face covering required for adults).
We suggest a voluntary donation of £1 per child.
Older Warriors and WOW Clubs
Come along to our young people’s youth clubs. Older Warriors is for children in school years 6 to 8, and WOW is for young people in school years 9 to 13. The groups meet at church on Wednesdays from 7.30pm to 9.00pm during term time. Activities include table tennis, pool, PlayStation and Wii video games, board games, quizzes, cooking/baking, indoor hockey, crafts and more. There are settees for those who just want to chill out and relax with friends, and a tuck shop, where snacks and drinks can be purchased for a subsidised price. We organise nights out for activities such as bowling or indoor climbing. During summer we often hold outdoor events, such as games at the park, treasure hunts, and crabbing at Felixstowe.
We collect voluntary subs of £1 per evening, although some outside activities, though subsidised, can be higher, but the club subsidises these events.
God's WiFi is our group for teenagers exploring the Christian faith. It's an opportunity to discuss life's big questions and delve deeper into the meaning of life. The group is open to people of any faith or none. It runs weekly during term time.
Our prayer evenings run every Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30pm (currently on Zoom). All are welcome to come along. Someone will open the evening with a brief thought or devotional and then we have a time of open prayer. You can turn off your video and just listen if you prefer.
Please contact us if you would like us to pray for a particular topic on your behalf. Prayer requests will be treated confidentially if you wish.
COVID-19 Update This group is running online via Zoom at the moment. We hope to start meeting back at church in the lounge later in the year. Please contact us if you would like to be notified when in-church meetings resume.
Our coffee mornings are open to everyone. Pop in for a free tea or coffee, a biscuit and a chat from 10am to 11:30 on Tuesdays. Free WiFi available.
